Growing up, all of my great mentors in life were my math teachers. From learning to multiply in elementary school, to all the calculus and differential equations during engineering studies, I can always look back and remember when I overcame a big problem because I had the help and support of a mentor guiding me along. What’s more, all of those skills of critical thinking, learning to set up problems and identify relevant information, have never been more important today as they were when I learned them. Thankfully I have a way to give back and help out through running the NYC Marathon this fall through Top Honors! Top Honors is a NYC based non-profit, providing free mathematics tutoring services to underserved middle school students in the New York metro area. For the past 15+ years, Top Honors has provided one-on-one tutoring to students in need a little extra help with critical thinking, an area in which we shouldn’t allow any student to fall behind.Top Honors is an organization I believe in as I volunteer each Saturday as a tutor, and now I’m asking for your help to get me across the finish line! I’m targeting to raise $4,000+ for Top Honors to help more students gain access to the Top Honors program. This donation will go towards supporting and expanding this awesome organization and will help countless students grow and develop, and learn the critical thinking and problem solving skills we all need. I’m incredibly grateful to be running on behalf of Top Honors and would welcome any support you can offer!
