Our Unique, Back-To-Basics CurriculumThere are four basic pillars to our unique curriculum:
Top Honors helps students build a strong foundation of math fundamentals. Custom curriculum has been created for the topics covered in our program. Some example topics are Arithmetic, Place Value, Estimation, and Word Problems. Top Honors leverages an "EDUTAINMENT" model that incorporates the use of mathematical driven games to motivate and engage students throughout the program. This is a key component that is critical to the program's success and differentiates Top Honors from other competitors. Top Honors gives an assessment test to every students at the beginning and end of the school year. The student's performance on the initial assessment test serves as the basis for planning individualized instruction. Students receive instruction from their tutors only on those topics in the curriculum that he/she has not yet mastered. Students must perform well on topic-based progress assessments to demonstrate mastery of the current topic before moving on to the next topic. Top Honors believes that learning is a function of relevance to everyday life. Most of the problems that students work on at Top Honors capture real-life examples. |
